Rapid change in the opportunities and habits of technology users means that to connect with people for ministry, service and resource development we have no choice but to find the right technology fit. The emerging generation is digitally fluent at a level we have never seen before and we must communicate in that new language to be effective.
When groups of grassroots and community organizations learn to work together, social problems that have been endemic fall into the realm of the solve-able. By starting with a volunteer centered needs assessment, organizations from across various sectors can learn to collaborate and to focus on critical community needs that line up with community assets that may be undiscovered or underutilized. These groups can pair counties and non-profits, churches and social agencies in productive collaboration yielding real benefit to local communities.
